The book is the story of the region, the Connecticut Valley, Springfield north, a region very important in the panorama of New England. It begins with the early colonial genesis of Springfield and carries down to the present-day cities of Holyoke and Chicopee. It's a composite of a myriad of stories constituting a filling in of background and dimension to the comprehensive pattern of the whole. The dust jacket has light soiling and edgewear with some darkening along the spine and light rippling on the front but no evidence of dampstain; the covers have light shelfwear; the binding is tight and the contents are clean and in fine condition.
