this is the original 1st edition and not a reprint, no dust jacket, front cover pastedown, hardback book is free from former owner marks, edgewear to the green book cloth and some soiling and scratching to the cover illustration, the binding was cracked and resecured with archival glue but there may still be some slight separation of signatures, no pages are falling out, there are only light internal smudges from former handling, 12 full page color plates printed one side only on the right and include the following story plates: Down in the Barnyard, Chickens and Such, Swimming Hole, With the Camp Fire Girls, And the Boy Scouts, On the Beach, Out on the Open Sea, In Wild Africa (2 color plates this section), Among the Cowboys, And the Indians, Up in the Arctic World,
